RMG Exposed Finalists Announced!

Our annual juried photography competition returns on 22 November, 2014, beginning at 7pm. This year, The RMG received a record number of over 360 submissions!

The jury included established photographers Mike Berube, Ryan Cleary and Marni Grossman. They were responsible for jurying the submissions and determining the final 51 selections. The quality of works submitted this year was exceptional and showed a wide range of photographic styles and great work across all levels – from student to professional photographers.

The jury will award prizes for each category of photography. The best overall submission will receive the CIBC Wood Gundy Emerging Photographer award, including a solo exhibition at the RMG in Spring 2015, with the $2,000 artist fee sponsored by CIBC Wood Gundy. Other prizes include cash and photographic equipment awards of up to $1,500 in various categories such as Photojournalism, Landscape, Conceptual, Youth and Community Choice. The prize winners will be announced during the event on 22 November 2014.

The selected photographs will be sold during the event in both the live and silent auction. The artists graciously donated the prints to further the educational and community programming at the RMG and will be in attendance at RMG Exposed.
